The Root System of Recovery
Unlocking stalled regional resources through disciplined veteran teamwork, preemptive wildfire defense, and ecological stewardship.
1. Unlocking Stalled Assets & Red Tape
Across the Willamette Valley, millions of board feet of timber, dry underbrush, and fire hazards sit locked up in bureaucratic red tape or rot on private and public stumps. At the same time, local veterans face severe isolation, underemployment, and a lack of structured transition tracks.
Our operational framework acts as the catalyst. By deploying disciplined, peer-led veteran cohorts, we bypass administrative bottlenecks through direct private timber partnerships. We transform locked-up waste wood and high-risk forest fuel into active economic, ecological, and human recovery. 100% of our heavy equipment work is contracted out on a flat rate or houly basis so even small local logging companies can benifit and those dollars can stay local.
2. The Three Interlocking Streams
Stream 1: The Foundation & Training (The Roots)
Ground-level discipline, 0800 musters, and greenhouse/technical education. Veterans build mutual trust, safety accountability, and foundational skills in a controlled environment before deploying to heavy field zones.
Stream 2: Free Community Shield (The Canopy Defense)
Unpaid, high-impact volunteer stewardship—such as our operations at designated regional public lands—providing critical defensible space clearing that shields local rural infrastructure from catastrophic wildfire destruction.
Stream 3: Commercial Subcontracts (The Economic Fruit)
Transitioning trained hands into high-paying commercial forestry, technical UAV mapping, and timber restoration subcontracts, turning environmental mitigation into self-funding financial stability.
3. Mitigating Catastrophic Damage
Without active, proactive intervention, unmanaged ladder fuels feed catastrophic wildfires that devastate regional watersheds, choke local air quality, and destabilize soil integrity. Our framework changes the narrative from reactive emergency response to scientific watershed management—integrating university drone tracking and precise ecological restoration to protect our landscape before disaster strikes.
4. The Roots of Support
At its core, this framework honors a profound truth: veterans do not heal in isolation. They heal by standing shoulder-to-shoulder with trusted peers toward a shared, vital mission. Fixing the land heals the individual, and supporting each other strengthens the entire community.
